When it comes to choosing my favorite cola, Pepsi........is not my favorite. Coca-Cola, in my humble opinion, is an all-around better cola than Pepsi-Cola. I enjoy the spiciness you get from drinking Coke, and Pepsi tastes too sweet. But what does the rest of the world think? Let’s take a look at some polls. There was a poll conducted by Mister Poll in which 1,920 people voted between Pepsi and Coke. The results showed that 60 percent preferred Coke. Another poll, in which 80 people voted, showed that 58 percent preferred Coke. So most people do prefer Coke, but if you disagree, there’s always that poll to your right.
The new Pepsi Throwback has a better can design in my opinion, then the old Pepsi Throwback. I like that can with its patriotic colors. It makes me want to drink this on the fourth of July, with some hotdogs. I mentioned before about me not being a connoisseur, so the taste may be a bit difficult to describe. The best I can come up with is that it’s a less sweeter version of Pepsi. This is most likely due to the fact that they use real sugar, instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. We at Soda Reviews prefer sodas that use cane sugar or just plain sugar. It gives it a smoother flavor. I would recommend this over regular Pepsi, but I will never recommend it for health reasons. Sodas are meant for enjoyment, not health. They contain no nutritional benefits. Sorry to burst your balloon of happiness. I would also like to point out that the carbonation does seem to leave pretty expediently, so if you’ve left some out, stop reading this and drink it.
Verdict: 7 out of 10. Why? Pepsi Throwback doesn’t add anything new to the table. It doesn’t wow me with amazing flavors. It’s just a typical soda that gets the job done. In other words, it’s average.
Do you love Pepsi Throwback? What about the patriotic can design? Write a comment and tell me your opinion on this drink.
Had my first Pepsi Throwback while on vacation last month. I agree Coke is the better cola choice of the two. But if I had to drink a Pepsi it'd be a Pepsi Throwback
